The West Geauga Board of Education has scheduled a Special Meeting on July 2, 2024 at 7:45 AM in the West Geauga Board of Education Office located at 8615 Cedar Road in Chesterland.

The West Geauga Local School District has a Finance Committee Meeting in the Professional Development Conference Room at 8615 Cedar Rd, Chesterland OH 44026 on June 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM.

The West Geauga Board of Education has changed the date of its July Regular meeting to July 22, 2024 to be held at the West Geauga Local Schools Board Office Community Room, 8615 Cedar Road, Chesterland, Ohio 44026 at 7:00 PM.

The West Geauga Board of Education has scheduled a Records Retention Committee meeting at the West Geauga Local Schools Board Office Community Room on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Refer to the Board of Education webpage for further details under the Committee Meetings section.

WG Parent/Guardian - Final quarter 4 grades and report cards are now posted in Infinite Campus. Please be sure to check your Parent Portal.

Reminder - West Geauga Local Schools will be closed on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open online for all incoming kindergarten and new students. Please complete kindergarten registration by April 15, 2024. Click the Registration link on our homepage for information.

Did you know that February is “Love the Bus” month? This annual event recognizes the vital role school buses and their drivers play in a school district. The daily journey of the West Geauga fleet covers an impressive 3,396 miles. To put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of traveling from Chesterland to Salt Lake City, UT and back every single day. On average, 1,359 West G students are transported each day. Remarkably, all of this is achieved through the efficient operation of 24 bus and 8 van routes.

Reminder - tonight is the first Board of Education meeting in 2024. The meeting begins at 6:45 to include the Tax Budget Meeting, Organizational Meeting, followed by the Regular Meeting.

Applications for open enrollment of non-resident students for the 2024-2025 school year will be accepted online between January 9, 2024 at 8:00 am - January 16, 2024 at 8:00 am. Applications are time stamped in the order received. No applications will be accepted outside of this timeframe. Reminder - Tomorrow (Thursday, 10/26) is Pajama Day! This Sleep in Heavenly Peace fundraiser helps build and deliver beds to kids in our community who are sleeping on the floor. We invite all students and teachers to wear their pajamas tomorrow. If you are able, our school has chosen $1 for each donation.

Reminder to Parents/Guardians of returning West Geauga students - The Annual Census Review was due July 10! Thank you to everyone who has already submitted. If you have not yet submitted your Census, please do so right away through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Submission of this form is required each year.

West Geauga High School, Middle School and Central Office are closed Friday, June 23 due to no water.
