The Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of the school district and reports directly to the Board of Education. The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for the financial management of the District including all accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions.
A Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is prepared for the Board of Education and the taxpayers. The District’s financial statements are audited annually by the Ohio Auditor of State and can be found below. In addition to the CAFR, the Treasurer is responsible for preparing the Annual Tax Budget and the Five-Year Forecast.
The Treasurer also serves as the Secretary to the Board of Education. In this role, the Treasurer records and maintains custody of the official minutes of the Board of Education meetings, contracts, and certain documents. The statutory duties of the Treasurer are set forth in the Ohio Revised Code Sections 3313.22 through 3313.32, as summarized in Board Policy 1320, which includes serving as the Public Records Officer.
