Dear Westwood Elementary School Parents,
I am pleased to announce that Ms. Megan Watson will be the new principal of Westwood Elementary School. I originally introduced her to you as the interim principal last spring.
Some of you may have met Ms. Watson last year. As the District Instructional Data and Systems Coordinator, she spent time in each of our school buildings when she was not here at the Board of Education Office. In fact, Ms. Watson already knows the staff and many of the students at Westwood from her work in the building last year.
Prior to her hiring by West G in 2023, Ms. Watson was a teacher, instructional coach, and an elementary school administrator with four years experience as the lead principal of an elementary building in the Willoughby Eastlake School District. She and her husband have two young boys.
I am pleased that Megan is willing and able to assume the leadership of Westwood. I know that she will do a great job.
