Students in Mr. Skotzke's 6th grade Science Class made ice cream. The lesson was to investigate the transfer of energy that occurs during a change of state. The ice cream ingredient mixture lost heat energy to the ice/salt mixture, simultaneously causing the ice cream to freeze while the ice/salt mixture melted. The result of the experiment was a tasty treat to enjoy!
