The Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank was a little bit fuller thanks to the generosity of students and families at Lindsey Elementary. In the month of December, the building held a gently used/new book drive and collected over 1,000 books for donation. The Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank distributes the books for free to children in need in support of their mission to foster literacy and a love of reading. Thank you to everyone who helped to support this cause.
Each month, the Lindsey C.A.R.E.S committee gives back to the community by supporting a local cause or organization. This month, Lindsey Elementary is collecting warm clothing donations for our local veterans. The “Help Keep Our Heroes Warm” clothing drive will provide new, warm clothing for veterans, distributed by the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. The drive is open to anyone in the community who wishes to participate. Donations are being accepted through February 5.
