Lindsey Elementary is focusing on acts of kindness during the last quarter of the school year for those in and around our community. Each week, they will focus their kindness on a specific organization, through an optional activity and an “action”. This week, the organization chosen was Rescue Village. The activity was to wear animal/paw print and the action was a coin collection. All money collected will be donated to help Rescue Village. Students generously donated in various ways, such as giving their own savings or opening a lemonade stand to donate the proceeds.
Mrs. Hocevar’s third grade class spent time sorting all of the coins they collected throughout the week, then counted the money together to celebrate the total! The students took great pride in their donation.
We are so proud of our students for practicing kindness to others and participating in Lindsey’s Acts of Kindness. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
